GamerPulse Network Gaming News, Reviews, and Podcasts Tue, 21 Apr 2009 03:10:20 +0000 en hourly 1 Left 4 Dead: Survival Pack Tonight Tue, 21 Apr 2009 03:08:03 +0000 admin Finally, the night of all nights is here. I, Vincent Herr, have not slept for40 hours and counting, but will be up all night with the newest DLC from Valve; Left 4 Dead: Survival Pack. What’s even better; it is free.

The concept is very simple to understand, but very hard to accomplish for any length of time. For 10 minutes, unlimited hordes of zombies will be released upon you. After 10 minutes, if you have managed to survive, you must take down a new tank every 45 seconds while holding your ground against the horde. After 15 minutes, the game gets almost impossible, where a new tank will spawn every 10 seconds to force your character into death.

The pack is releasing late tonight, early tomorrow. We will keep our eye out, and play the game all night long for a thrill that will not escape us added content just got added to one of the greatest games of 2008.

Fallout 3: New Vegas Announced Tue, 21 Apr 2009 03:00:15 +0000 admin Just in case you didn’t get overplayed on Xbox 360 Magazine’s “Game of the Year”, Fallout 3, the newest edition of Fallout has been announced by Bethesda to be released on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. It is called: New Vegas.

The game is scheduled to release sometime in 2010, but here is the big kicker; It is an RPG-style Fallout.

Hopefully more information will be released in the near-future to show this game’s true potential.

The “Game of the Year” 360 Bundle Tue, 21 Apr 2009 02:53:25 +0000 admin The “Game of the Year Bundle” just got announced, where Microsoft will be showing us an upgraded version of the Xbox 360 Elite. This May, the bundle will be released; from what they say, it’s worth the extra cash.

The black Xbox 360 Gaming System will be loaded with a 120GB Hard Drive, the highest on the market. Along with the Xbox 360, your copy of Halo 3 and Fable II will be packaged in the box, just waiting for you to play. If you do not own an Xbox 360, now would be the best time to shell out $399.00 for your system, along with two of the best games for it; I mean, it’s better than Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones.

Burnout DLC: Cops and Robbers Tue, 21 Apr 2009 02:37:39 +0000 admin On April 30th, the newest DLC Content for Burnout Paradise, Cops and Robbers, will be released onto both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3, via Xbox LIVE Marketplace and Playstation Network.

The new pack is going to aim to deliver “the greatest freeburn game mode yet,” says Eurogamer.

Whether this is a separate mode, or whether it is just added content to the game you have, we will find out for sure on April 30th. The game will also be sure to offer you more ways to escape from the cops and more chances at getting caught.

The price is to be decided, even as close as we are to release date. Hopefully, EA will give us a little break and get us back into the “Burnout” franchise.

DemiGod’s Silent Release Sun, 19 Apr 2009 05:50:44 +0000 admin Demigod, the newest addition to the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) Genre released April 14th, but the game’s release has been kind of silent and in the dark. Needless to say, not much of anybody has been talking at all about this game.

The concept of Demigod is to choose a Demigod as your character, and fight over land and power against the other 7 Demigods. As a Demigod, you are able to control and maneuver your troops to help win wars against the other Demigods.

The game is strictly for the PC, and the game is only $39.99 upon release. It is rated T (for Teen) by the ESRB and developed by Stardock Games.

The ‘Free Realms’ Craze Sun, 19 Apr 2009 05:19:45 +0000 admin Sony Online Entertainment has been working day and night on a new MMORPG that is currently being developed for the PC and (possibly) the Playstation 3 Entertainment System called “Free Realms.” The best thing about the game, right off the bat, is the fact that even though it is made by Sony, it is completely free to download and play the game. The game is accessed on the Web or Playstation Network, depending on the System you choose.

Sony can’t get away without at least having the chance at making some sort of revenue, though. A fee of $5 a month for an individual, or $10 a month for a family account (which allows 5 players at the same time under one bill) is optional for more content in the game.

The array of classes include adventurer, ninja, mailman, medic, blacksmith, miner, warrior, archer, treasure hunter, and many more. The game is focused on making sure that most all audiences will enjoy the game, and Sony has a great concept when they though of this idea. This could do one of two things: Hurt Sony more; Give Sony a fighting chance in video games.

I received a free Beta code from GamingUpdateNews at, so I will be checking out if this game has the true MMO potential that Sony needs, or if it isn’t quite as amazing as we all have been hoping for.
